“I am overwhelmed with love and I am so grateful for it!” mother says. At this moment of joy, I want to watch endlessly.
You may have seen a lot of postpartum photos online. But this series of photographs showcases something you’ve probably never seen before: a mother’s joy at seeing her baby, born and conceived by a surrogate mother.

Kim Overton was diagnosed with fibromyoma, but she underwent surgery, thanks to which in 2012 she was able to give birth to a child. However, when she decided to have a second child, the doctors told her that it was almost impossible for her to get pregnant at this stage.

Kim began to consider surrogacy. After discussing the matter with her family, she learned that her cousin’s daughter, Sydney, would like to do the job.
Both Kim and her husband were incredibly touched. “Sidney seemed like an angel to us,” says Kim. “Without her, we wouldn’t have been able to have a baby. What she did was the act of a selfless and loving person.”

Cindy, in turn, wanted to become a surrogate mother, watching as Kim suffered, trying to get pregnant. “I realized how lucky I am because so many women cannot bear their own children or have difficulty with this,” says Sidney.
